The hotel association in Vancouver regularly offers exciting deals. Last winter, they offered a free prepaid Mastercard offering discounts of up to 45% on hotel stays. Unfortunately, that offer has just expired.
Instead, there is now a new, exciting deal. Anyone who books a hotel for at least two nights via the promotional site will receive a voucher for a scenic flight with Harbour Air for free. These are the iconic seaplanes that take off right in front of the city center. The offer is valid for stays (and flights) until May 15, 2026.
The only requirement is that you stay at least two consecutive nights. The voucher must then be redeemed at least 3–5 days before the desired date. It is valid for 2 people and has a value of CA$318 (~€199). A suitable hotel for 2 nights can already be found starting from CA$413 (~€258).

Bookings made under this offer are non-refundable. Changes are also not permitted.
Make sure that the “Harbour Air Scenic Tour” is correctly listed in the booking summary. If this is not the case, try using the promo code HarbourAir in the search field.
Details on Booking & Flight
It is important that the promo code HarbourAir is entered when booking the hotel. If you book via the landing page mentioned above, this should happen automatically. The promo is then displayed at checkout as follows:

You can then proceed with the booking and pay for your stay via Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.
Shortly after booking, you will be sent the voucher code for the scenic flight. You can redeem this with Harbour Air. According to the offer page, there are 5 flights per day to choose from. These may be fully booked, so you should probably decide as early as possible.
Based on the Harbour Air website, this should be the Vancouver Classic Panorama tour. The tour lasts 30 minutes, which includes the boarding time. So expect rather 20 minutes of pure flight time.
If you want, you can pay a surcharge to extend the tour. However, this would probably be a hefty CA$100 (~€63) more per person for a 45-minute tour instead of 30 minutes. The scenic flight must also take place by May 15, 2026 at the latest.
Editor’s Note: Whether you’re taking an Alaska cruise at the beginning of the season or visiting Vancouver, a city I visited in 2011 before sailing on Holland America’s Oosterdam, this promotion gives you a free seaplane flight.
Price Comparison
The cheapest hotel is usually the Sandman Suites on Davie Street. For example, you can book two nights there from April 19–21 for CA$413 (~€258):

According to Booking.com, the best price for the same hotel is CA$506 (~€316) for 2 nights:

With StayVancouverhotels.com you pay approximately CA$96 (~€60) less, and you will receive the flight voucher worth nearly CA$318 (~€199) on top.
What You Can Expect
Johannes took a scenic flight with Harbour Air 10 years ago. Since then, the pictures have been lying largely unused in our media library. The city may look somewhat different by now, but here are a few photos from 2015:
