Moxy Stettin

While Marriott boasts an enormous portfolio with well over 800 properties across Europe, its price point is generally noticeably higher than competitors like Accor or IHG. If you are looking to earn cheap Marriott Bonvoy elite qualifying nights without leaving the continent, where should you head? We combed through European destinations to find out.

As always, a quick reminder: prices fluctuate based on seasonality, day of the week, and local events. We cannot track every single date across 800+ hotels, so these rates will not be available year-round. If you’ve spotted an affordable property we missed, feel free to let us know in the comments.

Conclusion

If you’re looking to accumulate cheap Marriott qualifying nights, a trip to Germany or the UK is your best bet, with 10 hotels in Germany alone pricing below €70. For years, the budget end of Marriott’s European presence was dominated by Moxy hotels—Marriott’s trendy, millennial-focused select-service brand. Recently, Marriott expanded its presence in the economy tier by rolling out Four Points Flex by Sheraton—a conversion brand that feels closer to a Premier Inn than a full-service Marriott, but commands the lowest cash rates in the system.

That said, Marriott’s definition of “cheap” in Europe remains elevated compared to competing programs. While IHG and Hilton offer sub-€50 nights that routinely include complimentary breakfast (via Holiday Inn Express and Hampton by Hilton), none of Marriott’s entry-tier brands (Moxy, Four Points Flex, or AC Hotels) provide free breakfast as a standard brand standard. If you lack Platinum Elite status or higher, breakfast will cost extra.

Finally, geographic variety among sub-€70 properties is very limited: virtually all of Europe’s cheapest Marriott hotels are concentrated in just two countries—the United Kingdom and Germany. If your travels take you to Southern or Eastern Europe, securing a Marriott stay under €70 has become increasingly rare.
