Itinerary
Your cruise begins in the vibrant city of Barcelona, known for its beaches, innovative cuisine, and lively art scene. This impressive blend attracts visitors from all over the world every year. The first stop is Palamós, a fishing village bursting with Mediterranean charm. In nearby Figueres, the famous Dalí Theatre-Museum brings the surrealist works of Salvador Dalí to life in a fascinating art exhibition.
The next day, the ship docks in Sanary-sur-Mer on the Côte d’Azur. From the 13th-century watchtower, you can enjoy impressive views of the surrounding area. Fresh fish is served daily in the restaurants lining the harbor. The journey then continues to Cannes, one of the most important destinations for film enthusiasts. Famous for hosting the annual film festival, this town embodies exclusive boutiques and a relaxed lifestyle like few other places in the region.
On the fifth day, you can explore Saint-Tropez. The town became world-famous in the 1950s thanks to Brigitte Bardot and remains a premier hotspot for the rich and famous. During your shore excursion, you will have the chance to experience its glitz and glamour firsthand. Afterward, the itinerary takes you to Marseille, France’s oldest city, with a history dating back to the 6th century BC. Today, Marseille is also known as the gateway to Provence.
Next, the Scenic Eclipse II sets course for Mahón, the capital of Menorca. Here, you will find British-style Georgian houses alongside medieval streets filled with palaces, churches, and fortresses. A day later, you will proceed to its larger and much more famous sister island, Mallorca. Highlights in Palma include the Cathedral of Santa Maria, a Gothic landmark; La Almudaina, a Moorish-style palace turned royal residence; and Bellver Castle, a unique circular medieval fortress.
Your next stop in the Balearic Islands is Ibiza. Famous for its vibrant party scene, the island also offers much more: pristine sandy beaches along the coast, with limestone hills and lush pine forests stretching across the interior. The Scenic Eclipse II then sails to Valencia, Spain’s third-largest city. Valencia is renowned for its culinary scene; be sure to try the local seafood paella while you are there. After 10 nights, your luxury cruise concludes back in Barcelona.

The following ship description refers to the Scenic Eclipse I. However, its sister ship, the Scenic Eclipse II, is virtually identical.
The Ship
Built in 2019, the Scenic Eclipse is 168 meters (551 feet) long. The design of the Eclipse resembles a megayacht more than a traditional cruise ship. This luxury vessel accommodates a maximum of 228 passengers (limited to 200 on cruises to Antarctica). The passenger-to-crew ratio is nearly 1:1, enabling highly personalized and attentive service. The ship’s average cruising speed is 17 knots.
In addition to two Airbus H130-T2 helicopters for flightseeing tours and excursions (at an additional cost), the ship features a submarine capable of diving up to 300 meters (984 feet) deep (at an additional cost) and a remote-controlled underwater vehicle that can stream live footage back to the ship.
The Scenic Eclipse features 114 suites, ranging in size from 32 m2 (344 sq ft) for the Verandah Suites up to 247 m2 (2,658 sq ft) for the Two-Bedroom Penthouse Suite. All guests on board enjoy the services of a butler. The ship’s onboard theater hosts a daily entertainment program and lectures.
The ship offers a variety of dining venues, including Elements (Italian, steak, and seafood), Koko’s (Asian fusion, sushi, and teppanyaki), Lumière (contemporary French fine dining), and the casual Azure Bar & Café. These dining options are fully included in the cruise fare. You also have the option of in-suite dining. The beverage selection features a wide range of complimentary drinks, including premium international wines, spirits, beers, specialty coffees, teas, and soft drinks.
The onboard language is English, and the onboard currency is the US dollar. Any incidental expenses can be conveniently settled at the end of the cruise using major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express).
