Scandic Friends regularly offers discounts on award nights booked with points. Usually, these are only valid for short-term travel within the next 30 days or so.
Currently, a particularly wide selection of hotels is available with discounts of up to 50%. This includes numerous hotels in Finland for travel during midsummer. In contrast, the offers for Norway are only valid for travel during the month of May.
These offers are also particularly interesting for SAS EuroBonus frequent flyers, as points can be transferred at a ratio of 1 EuroBonus point = 2 Scandic points. This allows you to book a Scandic night for as little as 5,000 EuroBonus points.
All award nights include breakfast and are cancellable until 6 PM on the day of arrival.

Price Example
Thanks to this offer, an overnight stay at the Scandic Lahti (Finland) can be booked for 10,000 Scandic points. That is just 5,000 EuroBonus points. Breakfast for two is also included. For example, from July 8 to 9, 2026:
If booked with cash, you would pay at least €88, or €110 including breakfast. These prices are only available as part of the current Summer Sale, which also comes with stricter cancellation policies, as the cash rate is non-refundable:
In this case, 5,000 EuroBonus points provide a value of at least €110, which equals 2.2 cents per point. This is more attractive than many award flights. While Lahti may not be the most famous tourist destination, the Salpausselkä UNESCO Global Geopark in the Finnish Lake District is just an hour’s drive away.
Point Transfer from SAS EuroBonus to Scandic
Transferring points between SAS and Scandic is possible at any time and occurs instantly. The ratio is 1 SAS EuroBonus point = 2 Scandic points. To do this, you must first link your accounts and then initiate the transfer via the Scandic website:
After that, you need to confirm the transfer by logging into SAS again and entering a 2FA code. Once that is done, the points are transferred:
Beachtet aber, dass die Punkte nach dem Transfer zu Scandic maximal 12 Monate gültig sind (wenn sie bei SAS vorzeitig verfallen würden, gilt dieser Termin auch für die Scandic-Punkte). Ihr solltet den Transfer also erst anstoßen, wenn ihr auch sicher ein Hotel buchen wollt.
Please note that points are valid for a maximum of 12 months after the transfer to Scandic (if they were set to expire earlier at SAS, that date also applies to the Scandic points). You should therefore only initiate the transfer once you are certain you want to book a hotel.
