SAS Winglet

EuroBonus, SAS’s frequent flyer program, regularly offers discount promotions for award flights. There is currently a particularly attractive offer: for travel until September 30, 2026, all award flights are discounted by 25%.

SAS does not charge fuel surcharges, making long-haul routes in business class especially interesting. Here are some examples of sweet spots (each one-way):

  • Long-haul:
    • Economy class Copenhagen – Tokyo for 22,500 points + €77
    • Premium economy Hamburg – CPH – Los Angeles for 33,750 points + €127
    • Business class Chicago – Copenhagen for 45,000 points + €6
    • Business class Berlin – CPH – Toronto for 45,000 points + €106
    • Business class Gdansk – CPH – Washington D.C. for 45,000 points + €47
  • Short-haul:
    • Economy class Lulea – CPH – Berlin for 7,500 points + €19
    • Economy class Faroe Islands – CPH – Hamburg for 7,500 points + €58
    • Business class Berlin – OSL – Spitsbergen for 15,000 points + €39
Tip

If you cannot find availability, the SAS Award Finder can help with your search.

Info

The discount will only be displayed once you have logged into your SAS account. If the website is not working correctly, try using the smartphone app (iOS / Android).

Flights can be rebooked or canceled for a fee. This fee is €25 (within Europe) or €75 (long-haul flights).

Conditions

You can find all information regarding the discount promotion on the offer page. Here are the most important details:

  • Booking period: May 12 to May 17, 2026.
  • Travel period: May 12 to September 30, 2026.
  • Applies to all routes in the SAS network.
  • The discount only applies to “regular” award flights with fixed point prices (e.g., 15,000 points, 20,000 points, etc.). Flights with variable pricing (Points & Cash) are not discounted.
  • One-way tickets cost 50% of a round trip.
  • Children aged 2 to 11 receive a 50% discount on the (already reduced) price.
  • There is no discount on taxes & fees.

SAS EuroBonus Award Chart

Fortunately, EuroBonus does not (yet) use dynamic pricing, at least when award flight inventory is available. In such cases, a fixed award chart applies. Redemptions remain comparatively attractive despite the recent devaluation.

On long-haul routes, you pay per direction (discount not yet deducted):

  • 30,000 points in Economy Class (includes checked baggage)
  • 45,000 points in Premium Economy
  • 60,000 points in Business Class

On short-haul routes, it is slightly more complex due to different zones. The most exciting options are domestic flights and flights within the Nordic+ zone (Scandinavia, Baltics, Germany & Poland). One-way flights there cost:

Regions Economy class SAS Plus Business class
Domestic DK / SE / NO 5,000 points 10,000 points
Within Nordic 10,000 points 20,000 points
Rest of Europe ↔ Nordic 15,000 points 35,000 points
Rest of Europe ↔ Rest of Europe 25,000 points 40,000 points
