The Ship
The Running on Waves is a modern, 64-meter-long three-masted barkentine that combines the classic charm of a clipper with the luxury of a private megayacht. Built in Gdansk, Poland, in 2011, she underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2021. Due to her design and shallow draft, she can access tiny harbors and hidden coves that remain unreachable for standard cruise ships.
The 18 oceanview cabins combine nautical style with the comfort of a hotel room. Ranging in size from 11 to 20 square meters, they feature either a classic window or a porthole. Amenities include a safe, refrigerator/minibar, telephone, and Wi-Fi. The bathrooms are equipped with a marble sink, shower, and toilet. The experience is topped off by a spacious sun deck with 16 sun loungers, available to guests free of charge at any time.
The primary language on board is English, though German-language guest services are also available. The onboard currency is the Euro. Any additional expenses can be settled at the end of the trip via credit card or cash.
