Lufthansa A350 in SIN

A few months ago, we reported on cheap one-way tickets from Korea to Germany with Lufthansa. While they have become a bit more expensive since then, they remain very attractive, especially if you can redeem some Miles&More miles. In that case, you can fly from Seoul to Germany starting at 2,276 miles + approx. €195 in taxes and fees.

By default, you are limited to 8 kg of carry-on baggage + a personal item. If that is not enough, a checked suitcase can be added for €65 to €75 at check-in. For frequent flyers with Star Gold / Senator status, one suitcase up to 23 kg is included even in the Light fare.

With rail segment:

  • Seoul → Düsseldorf Central Station for 2,276 M + €195
  • Seoul → Stuttgart Central Station for 2,276 M + €195
  • Seoul → Hamburg Central Station for 2,276 M + €195

Onboard Product & Route

Lufthansa offers two connections to Seoul: via Frankfurt and via Munich. Both are expected to be operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft. These offer 79 cm of legroom in a 3-3-3 seating configuration.

The cheapest connections involve an onward journey from Frankfurt to your final destination by train. For a small additional fee, you can fly with a connection in Frankfurt. If your actual destination is Frankfurt, your best bet is to book a ticket with a rail connection and then simply skip the train ride. Your luggage will be available at the baggage carousel in Frankfurt anyway.

Alternatively, there are flights with Swiss via Zurich, which also utilize Airbus A350 aircraft. The only route among these featuring the new cabin (= larger screens) is Seoul – Zurich equipped with Swiss Senses.

The map is for illustrative purposes only; based on current conditions, Russian airspace is not entered.

Search & Booking

We found consistent availability for award tickets from June 2026 through April 2027. These prices are only available on the Miles&More website (the “Cash & Miles” option on Lufthansa.com is significantly less attractive).

Frequent flyers with Senator or HON Circle status can utilize the Companion Award to save 50% on miles for a second person. however, since the total price consists largely of taxes and fees, the actual savings are relatively modest.

Please note that you cannot earn any new miles or status points on award flights.
