Star Alliance member EgyptAir is offering a business class deal from Budapest to Nairobi, starting at just €991 (~HUF 361,136). This offer includes two pieces of 32 kg checked luggage and all the business class perks. Departures are available in May.
At this price, you should not expect a standard long-haul business class. Egyptair uses Boeing 737 or Airbus A320neo aircraft on all segments. The seats are closer to a premium economy product than a typical long-haul business class. While this is a solid product for flights to North Africa, there are better alternatives for Kenya.
A major highlight of this deal is the high mileage accrual. With Miles&More, the Cairo-Nairobi segment is classified as long-haul, meaning you can earn 480 status points for the round trip.

The flights include a layover in Cairo. Flights from Budapest to Cairo take roughly 3 hours, while the connection to Kenya takes another 5 hours. On the outbound journey, the total travel time is less than 10 hours; the return takes approximately 13 hours. You can access the lounge during your stay in Cairo.
The business class cabin features a 2-2 configuration with wide recliner seats and a generous 120 cm of legroom. While the hard product is similar on both the B737 and A320neo, the A320neo cabin is significantly more modern.
Here are two reviews of EgyptAir business class problem in both aircraft:

Please note that EgyptAir is a dry airline, meaning no alcohol is served, neither in the lounge nor onboard.
A traditional visa is no longer required to enter Kenya for most EU citizens. However, you must apply for an eTA (electronic travel authorization) online in advance. This is possible up to 3 months before departure and costs US$34 (~€29).
Search & Book
This deal will expire on May 31, 2026. A minimum stay is not explicitly specified, but departures are only available for short-term travel in May 2026. Departures are generally available on Sundays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with returns available a day later.
Finding available dates is quite challenging. Google Flights doesn’t show the prices in the calendar view; they only appear after you select a specific date combination. A better approach is to use the ITA Matrix (guide) and filter for the airline in the routing code. Like this:

Stopover in Cairo
If you wish, you can extend your stay in Cairo for several days. For example, a trip including three days in Cairo is available for roughly €1,014. Remember that you will need an Egyptian visa for this stopover (approx. €26 on arrival).

Editor’s Note: If you live near Budapest and were planning a trip to Kenya, this is the deal for you. However, you should also consider the high number of Miles & More points this offer earns, it might just be the key to reaching your next status level.
