The MSC World Europa, one of the newest and most modern flagships in the MSC Cruises fleet, is heading for the first time to the Caribbean for the winter season. The ship was originally scheduled for Middle Eastern itineraries, but MSC Cruises rerouted the vessel due to ongoing security concerns in the region.
You can book this 17-night transatlantic repositioning cruise starting at just €789 per person in an inside cabin. Oceanview staterooms start at €1,109 per person, while balcony cabins are available from €1,279 per person (based on double occupancy). Solo travelers can book an inside stateroom starting from €1,257.
The voyage departs on November 18, 2026, from Barcelona and arrives 17 nights later in Fort-de-France, Martinique on December 5, 2026.

The Route
Your transatlantic adventure begins in Barcelona. Arriving early gives you the opportunity to explore iconic sights like the Sagrada Família and Park Güell. The ship sails in the early evening, followed by two relaxing days at sea through the Mediterranean and past the Strait of Gibraltar.
Your first port of call is Puerto del Rosario on Fuerteventura, known for its open-air sculpture museum and coastal promenade. The next day brings Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where you can explore the historic capital or catch a local bus to the golden sands of Playa de las Teresitas.
Leaving the Canary Islands behind, the ship sets out on six full days across the Atlantic Ocean. With MSC World Europa’s expansive promenade, entertainment venues, multiple pools, and dining concepts, there is plenty to do on board. The first Caribbean landfall is Philipsburg on the Dutch side of St. Maarten.
From there, the itinerary continues through Basseterre (St. Kitts) to Kingstown on St. Vincent, home to the oldest botanical garden in the Western Hemisphere (founded in 1765) and nearby Wallilabou Bay, a prominent filming location for Pirates of the Caribbean.
Next up is Bridgetown, Barbados, celebrated for its colonial architecture, Mount Gay rum heritage, and Carlisle Bay’s turquoise waters and shallow shipwrecks. After a stop at St. George’s, Grenada and a final sea day, your 17-night crossing concludes in Fort-de-France on the French Caribbean island of Martinique.

The Ship
The MSC World Europa is MSC’s flagship and features many attractions on board. The ship is very versatile and can also be deployed in colder regions. However, it specializes in warmer regions like the Mediterranean, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Caribbean. Instead of a single pool deck, the ship features a tiered design with pools and whirlpools on different levels, designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6,774 passengers.
One of the highlights is the split design of the cabin towers. This architecture creates significantly more exterior surface area for balcony cabins. You’ll need to choose whether you want a cabin facing inwards towards the promenade or outwards to the sea. Both have their advantages, depending on whether you prefer to relax or watch the lively activity. This design also creates new spatial concepts for a wide promenade and numerous speciality restaurants (available for an extra charge).
MSC has also packed the ship with attractions. The water park, with its numerous slides and play areas, is complemented by “The Venom Drop @ The Spiral,” a dry slide that descends 11 decks to the promenade. There are also bumper cars, show lounges, aesthetically designed upper decks, and a huge panoramic lounge at the stern of the ship.
The onboard language is English, but the staff speaks several European languages, and the currency used is the Euro.
