The Route
The cruise begins in the port of Palma de Mallorca. With a late departure time scheduled for 21:00, you should have plenty of time to explore the historic old town, where the famous La Seu Cathedral stands as a major landmark.
The first stop is Barcelona, Spain’s famous Catalan metropolis. Visitors can view Antoni Gaudí’s unfinished masterpiece, the Sagrada Família, or wander through Park Güell, which provides panoramic views of the city and the sea.
Next, you’ll sail to Funchal on the island of Madeira. A popular highlight here is the traditional wicker toboggan ride down the steep streets of Monte. You can also explore the Mercado dos Lavradores, known for its exotic fruits, flowers, and fresh fish, or visit the Cristiano Ronaldo museum located right by the harbor.
Following this, the MSC Grandiosa spends six consecutive sea days crossing the Atlantic Ocean before arriving in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Ship
The MSC Grandiosa was launched in 2019 and is one of the largest ships in the MSC Cruises fleet. It is 331 meters long, 43 meters wide, and can accommodate up to 6,334 passengers and 1,704 crew members.
A central highlight is the Galleria Grandiosa, a two-deck indoor promenade topped with a spectacular 98.5-meter-long LED dome that displays various animations throughout the day and night. Onboard, you’ll find numerous leisure activities, including multiple swimming pools, the extensive Aurea Spa, a fitness center, a water park, and even two full-size bowling alleys.
Dining options are plentiful, with a wide range of main and buffet restaurants included in the price.
