The Route

The cruise sets sail from Hamburg on the evening of June 16, 2027. Following a relaxing sea day across the North Sea, the vessel arrives in Leith, the port gateway to Edinburgh. Scotland’s historic capital is easily explored on foot, from Edinburgh Castle down the Royal Mile through the medieval Old Town.

On June 19, the ship calls at Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands, home to St. Magnus Cathedral and famous Neolithic sites such as the Ring of Brodgar and Skara Brae. After crossing the Norwegian Sea, you reach the volcanic Westman Islands off the southern coast of Iceland, docking on Heimaey, where the dramatic 1973 volcanic eruption reshaped the island.

On June 22, you arrive in Reykjavík, Iceland’s capital, allowing ample time for tours of the Golden Circle (Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall, and Geysir geothermal field). The ship then sails north to Akureyri, positioned on the longest fjord in Iceland and serving as an ideal base for excursions to Lake Mývatn and the thunderous Goðafoss waterfall.

Following two sea days crossing eastward to Norway, you call at Ålesund, renowned worldwide for its fairy-tale Art Nouveau architecture. Next is Loen deep inside the Nordfjord, where the Loen Skylift whisks passengers to the summit of Mount Hoven for sweeping views of Jostedalsbreen National Park. Before returning to Germany, the ship calls at picturesque Rosendal and Sandnes (near Stavanger and the Lysefjord). The cruise concludes back in Hamburg on July 2, 2027.
