About Car Sharing With MILES
Miles Mobility separates itself from other car sharing providers by the way it bills its customers. While most car sharing companies charge you by the duration of the rental, MILES charges primarily based on the driving distance. This has several advantages, as traffic jams or red lights won’t increase the distance-based portion of your rental price.
The standard rate for cars currently starts from €0.79 per km, while transporters start from €1.29 per km. An unlock fee applies per ride, typically €1 for most cars and €2 for larger or premium vehicles.
The MILES app allows you to reserve cars nearby for 10 minutes free of charge. After 10 minutes, the reservation costs €0.09 per minute. A short break during your rental costs €0.29 per parking minute.
Aside from the per-kilometer rate, you can also use flexible packages that combine time and included kilometers. Typical examples include:
3 hours & 40 km (from approx. €39.99 for small cars)
6 hours & 50 km (from approx. €44.99 for small cars)
1 day & 50 km (from approx. €49.99 for small cars)
Package prices vary by vehicle category. If you exceed the included kilometers, additional kilometers are charged at a reduced package rate. You do not need to select a rate before your rental. The system automatically calculates the best available price for you.
Normally, you’ll pay the per-kilometer rate plus the unlock fee. You can also book multi-day packages (for example 2 or 3 days) with a defined kilometer allowance per day. No matter which option you choose, fuel or charging within Germany, insurance, and public parking within the business area are included.
If you take over a car with less than 25% in the tank, you will get a fuel voucher worth €5.
