The Hotel
The 4-star Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort is located on an island in the Gaafu Alif Atoll and is part of the Mercure Hotels group. The resort offers three restaurants and bars, a tennis court, a beach volleyball court, a spa, a dive centre, pools, and more.
The resort has received very good reviews from previous guests, scoring 4.8/5 both on Google and on TripAdvisor, with around 2,000 reviews between the two of them. Most guests called the place “amazing”, many praising the romantic ambience, the reasonably priced spa services (with delightful massages), the attentive staff, the big swimming pool, the safety-oriented snorkelling instructor, the impeccable facilities, and the stunning natural beauty. We couldn’t find any recurring points of criticism.

The best time to visit the Maldives is in January, February, and March, but sadly, a seasonal surcharge of around €125 per night applies during those months. During other months, you should expect 12–15 rainy days per month.
Price Check
For our comparison, we looked at 5 nights in a Beach Villa in September 2026. The cheapest all-inclusive rate costs €2,724 – i.e. €544 per night.
However, in this case, domestic flights would cost an additional US$500 (~€424) per person. This brings the total to around €3,574 for two adults. Booking through LuxuryEscapes thus saves you around €900. The savings are generally similar throughout the year.
Even if you were to arrange the domestic flights separately with the airline Maldivian for around €370 per person, you’d still be paying far more than what LuxuryEscapes is charging.
