The ships depart from La Romana, meaning you can easily find affordable flights into Santo Domingo or Punta Cana, unlike MSC or Costa itineraries that require flying to Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe.
The fare is all-inclusive and even includes premium drinks. The only thing to keep in mind is that the cruise line primarily caters to German speaking travelers, but the crew will assist you in English without any issues.
Route (Sample Departure December 10, 2027)
The Caribbean cruise begins on December 10, 2027, in La Romana, Dominican Republic. After a day at sea, the ship calls at Kingstown on St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where an excursion to the St. Vincent Botanical Gardens is recommended. The following morning, the ship docks in Bridgetown, Barbados, staying overnight. Cultural highlights include exploring the historic Garrison Savannah UNESCO World Heritage site.
Following another day at sea, you reach Castries, St. Lucia on December 16. The island is famous for the Pitons—twin volcanic spires—and the volcanic mud baths at Sulphur Springs. On December 17, the ship sails to Fort-de-France, Martinique, where visitors can enjoy a blend of French and Caribbean culture at local markets or the Schœlcher Library.
The next day brings you to Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe. The Parc National de la Guadeloupe features rainforest trails and waterfalls. After a sea day, the ship docks in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten on December 20, home to Maho Beach, where planes land directly over the shore.
The cruise continues to Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, an island famous for its 365 beaches (such as Dickenson Bay). On December 22, the ship calls at Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, where travelers can ride the St. Kitts Scenic Railway or visit the Brimstone Hill Fortress UNESCO site.
After a final day at sea, the cruise concludes back in La Romana on December 24.

The Ship
Mein Schiff 4, completed in 2015 at the Meyer Turku shipyard. Measuring 293 meters in length and 35 meters in width, the ship accommodates up to 2,506 passengers and approximately 1,000 crew members. Christened by former Olympic swimmer Franziska van Almsick, the vessel cost around €625 million to build.
Onboard, you’ll find 9 restaurants & bistros (including seafood at Gosch and a pizzeria) alongside 15 bars & lounges. Thanks to the Premium All-Inclusive concept, dining is available 24 hours a day. Specialty restaurants located in the Große Freiheit area are excluded and require an additional surcharge. The beverage package includes over 100 brand-name drinks and cocktails. Entertainment facilities include a theater, lounge, nightclub, casino, open-air cinema, and a well-lit 280-meter outdoor jogging track accessible at night.
Both the fitness center and the extensive sauna complex are complimentary. The ship features an impressive 25-meter outdoor pool as well as a covered indoor pool on the sun deck.
