The Route

Your luxury cruise begins in Miami. If you arrive early, you can take a walking tour to admire the pastel-colored, geometric buildings of the Art Deco District or explore the graffiti murals of the Wynwood Walls. The ship departs in the evening, and you will begin your journey with two relaxing days at sea. This is the perfect opportunity to familiarize yourself with all the amenities and services on board.

The first stop is the global metropolis of New York. The city that never sleeps offers countless attractions, including views of the Statue of Liberty, the neon-lit Times Square, and the towering Empire State Building. Next, the ship heads to Portland, Maine. The lively Old Port district features a sophisticated art scene, and you can sample the world-famous Maine lobster at the fish market or in one of the award-winning local restaurants.

After another day at sea, you will reach Sydney, Canada. Nature lovers can enjoy hiking along the scenic Cabot Trail and taking in the spectacular landscapes. The journey continues via Charlottetown to the Magdalen Islands, where nearly 320 kilometers of beaches await. The landscape here is characterized by picturesque coastal villages and red sandstone cliffs.

Another highlight of this route is the stop in Quebec City, where Parisian-style bistros and contemporary art exhibitions invite you to linger. The historic old town charms visitors with its impressive architecture and landmarks. Passing through La Baie and Sept-Îles, the ship continues to Havre-Saint-Pierre, where an excursion to the Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve is highly recommended. Further stops in Newfoundland include Corner Brook and L’Anse aux Meadows. After three days at sea, the Explora IV will reach Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik, where your 22-night cruise comes to an end.

The Ship

The Explora IV is currently under construction and is scheduled to enter service in 2027. The vessel will be 267 meters (876 feet) long and 32 meters (105 feet) wide. It will accommodate up to 926 passengers and 640 crew members. This favorable guest-to-crew ratio allows for highly attentive, personalized service. Additionally, the ship is equipped with an LNG propulsion system, underscoring the cruise line’s commitment to sustainability.

Onboard, multiple specialty restaurants offer varied culinary themes. Sakura serves Pan-Asian specialties, while Marble & Co. Grill features dry-aged steaks in an elegant setting. A new addition is the Shore Club on 11 / The Conservatory, a restaurant designed in the style of an exclusive beach club. Guests who prefer not to dine at the restaurants can also choose to have their meals served directly in their suite.

Onboard entertainment includes performances by local artists, karaoke nights, and dance classes. The Helios Pool & Bar area on Deck 12 offers an adults-only retreat. Explora IV also features a spacious spa area for relaxation, alongside a modern fitness center for workouts.

The accommodations on board consist entirely of suites designed for comfort and style. Standard amenities include comfortable double beds, spacious terraces (some featuring private whirlpools), elegant bathrooms, and walk-in wardrobes.

The primary language on board is English. Depending on the destination, the onboard currency is either the Euro or the US Dollar. Any incidental expenses incurred during the cruise can be easily settled using major credit cards.
