Train in Ghent Station

Until [Expiration Date], Interrail is running a spectacular flash sale: continuous passes for one, two, or three months (for unlimited daily travel) are available at half price! This is by far the highest discount we have seen in four years. Other passes are also reduced by 15%—though they are not nearly as lucrative as the continuous monthly passes. The catch: these promotional tickets are strictly non-refundable. You can only return or exchange them within 7 days of purchase; after that, you bear the full cost if you cannot travel.

As usual, the prices are particularly attractive for travelers under 28. Youth travelers (up to age 27) can travel across Europe for three continuous months for just €358 instead of €717—excluding their home country. Adults aged 28 to 59 pay €478, while seniors aged 60 and older pay €430 (prices quoted for 2nd class travel).

The pass must be activated within 11 months of purchase, meaning travel is possible until around November 2027, depending on the validity of your pass.

Interrail can be a fantastic way to tour Europe with total flexibility. However, you should familiarize yourself with the drawbacks beforehand. In several Western European countries, for example, seat reservation quotas are strictly limited and/or require an extra mandatory fee.

Terms & Conditions

The following conditions apply:

  • Booking period: until September 30, 2027
  • Travel period: immediately up to approx. November 2027 (depending on pass validity)
    • The pass must be activated within 11 months of purchase. From the date of activation, it remains valid for up to 3 months (depending on the chosen pass).
  • Cancellation: free of charge within 7 days of purchase (strictly non-refundable thereafter).
  • Children up to and including age 11 travel free of charge (maximum 2 children per adult pass).
  • Interrail passes are only available to residents of Europe (including the United Kingdom and Turkey). Non-European residents must purchase a Eurail pass (prices are identical).
  • For certain train routes (e.g. in France, Italy, and Spain), a paid seat reservation is required in addition to the pass. In practice, this functions as an added surcharge for Interrail travelers.
  • Travel in your country of residence is not permitted, with the exception of two journey legs / two travel days (one outbound and one inbound). These do not necessarily have to occur on the very first or last day of validity.

Global Passes are valid in a total of 32 (or 33 including Luxembourg) countries:

  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Bulgaria
  • Croatia
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Great Britain
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Lithuania
  • Luxembourg (already free in 2nd class)
  • Montenegro
  • Netherlands
  • North Macedonia
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Romania
  • Serbia
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • Turkey

A pass isn’t always the best value. In some regions (e.g. Eastern Europe), regular point-to-point tickets can be cheaper, while in other countries (Italy, Spain, France), steep reservation fees make Interrail less cost-effective. We particularly recommend the pass for Great Britain, Austria, Switzerland, and Norway, where savings are substantial and costly mandatory seat reservations are virtually non-existent.
