Flying Blue Promo Awards: Business Class Long-Haul Flights from 45,000 Miles + €300 Each Way

At Flying Blue, there are discounted award flights every month. As part of the Promo Awards, you can get a 25% discount on the regular mileage rates. The routes vary depending on the month.

In June, the selection is larger than it has been in a long time. In business class, there are discounted tickets on 5 different routes, including New York and Sao Paulo. In premium economy, there are as many as 11 discounted destinations, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Singapore, Seoul, and even Papeete in Polynesia.

Unlike the Miles&More Meilenschnäppchen (Mileage Bargains), one-way bookings are available for half the price with Promo Awards.

Promo Awards in June 2026

The current Promo Awards are expected to be bookable until August 1, 2026. The travel period runs until December 2026, though blackout dates may apply depending on the route.

An overview of all discounted connections (including short-haul routes) can be found here on the Flying Blue website. However, taxes & fees are not displayed there. Additionally, a number of connections are listed that can only be booked with a paid Extra subscription.

Business Class Long-Haul Routes from 45,000 Miles + €300

In business class, tickets to New York, Sao Paulo, St. Maarten, and India are discounted. Return flights from Sao Paulo are particularly interesting because no fuel surcharge is applied there, costing only 63,750 miles + “real” taxes. Unfortunately, these are only available last-minute on a few select dates.

In July, the connections in premium economy are also very attractive. There are numerous destinations at prices starting from 37,500 miles (plus surcharges), and to & from the USA starting from 30,000 miles.

In Economy Class, there are also discounted tickets, e.g., from Denver to Germany starting at 18,750 miles + €136. At least a 23 kg checked bag is included at this price. In principle, however, premium economy and business class are more attractive.

The offer is valid until [expiry date] for travel from now until December 2026. Flying Blue uses dynamic pricing, so prices may be (significantly) higher depending on the date and departure airport.

You can book the Promo Awards directly via AirFrance.com or KLM.com. If you leave the travel dates blank, the cheapest dates will be displayed directly in the calendar. Here is an example for the Sao Paulo – Amsterdam route in business class:

How Can I Get the Miles Quickly?

If you are still short on miles, the options for acquiring miles quickly without flying are unfortunately limited. Especially for travelers outside of France and the Netherlands, there are few ways to top up your account quickly.

At Flying Blue, there are regular sales for purchasing miles. In those promotions, you can expect a price of about 1.2 to 1.4 Eurocents per mile, which is not particularly worthwhile for Promo Awards. The regular price is even higher, at more than 2 cents per mile.

An alternative would be the point transfer from American Express:

Those who transfer their Amex Membership Rewards points into miles receive 4 miles for every 5 MR points. In other words, you need around 113,000 MR points for a round-trip ticket to North America. If you have MR points lying around, you can alternatively look into business class flights with Iberia (from 50,700 MR + €110) or SAS (from 75,000 MR + €6).

Terms & Conditions

With Promo Awards, there are a few rules and terms and conditions that you should keep in mind when booking these offers:

• Only bookable online: The tickets can only be booked directly on airfrance.com or klm.com. Only tickets for (unaccompanied) minors can be booked over the phone, as this is not possible online.
• Dynamic Pricing: Not all tickets are available at the promotional price. Often, there are only a few dates per month at the lower rate. The price also varies (sometimes significantly) depending on the departure airport.
• One-way or round trip: Unlike the Miles&More Meilenschnäppchen, the prices also apply to one-way bookings. Open-jaw flights are not possible (however, you can simply book two separate one-ways instead).
• Standard changes and cancellations allowed: Unlike Miles&More Meilenschnäppchen and Singapore Spontaneous Escapes, Flying Blue’s standard change and cancellation policies apply. Cancellations are possible for a €70 fee. Changes incur a €70 fee plus any fare difference.
