From Frankfurt, Air India occasionally operates former Vistara Boeing 787-9 aircraft to Delhi or Mumbai, which feature a modern 1-2-1 business class configuration. You can find a review of that product here. Other flights utilize Boeing 787-8 aircraft with a 2-2-2 layout (offering less privacy but full-flat beds) or Boeing 777s with 2-3-2 seating. Domestic connections within India are typically served by Airbus A320neo aircraft without lie-flat seats.
Most travelers require a visa for India. For stays up to 30 days, an e-Visa costs between €10 and €25 depending on the season. Longer validity visas are available for an additional fee.
Search & Book
This deal will expire on March 31, 2026. A minimum stay of three days and a maximum stay of twelve months apply. Departures are available in April and May.
You can find suitable dates using our calendar above or with the help of Google Flights. We recommend booking directly on the airline’s website, but you can find cheaper prices with Trip.com.
Editor’s Note: Air India is currently undergoing a major transformation. While the “ex-Vistara” planes offer a top-tier product, the older 787-8 configurations are a bit dated. Still, for this price, it is a very solid way to reach India in comfort.

Information & Tips for India
India is a large and diverse country with major tourist sights like the Taj Mahal in Agra, the forts and palaces of Rajasthan, the backwaters of Kerala, and spiritual cities like Varanasi and Rishikesh. The currency used is the Indian Rupee (INR). Prices vary widely—budget travel is possible, but mid-range and luxury options are also common, especially in tourist-heavy areas. Weather depends heavily on region and season: winters (Nov–Feb) are generally pleasant, while summers (Mar–June) can be extremely hot, and the monsoon (June–Sept) brings heavy rainfall in many parts.
India’s transport infrastructure is a mix of modern and outdated systems. Within cities, getting around can be chaotic but manageable—options include auto-rickshaws, taxis, metro systems in larger cities like Delhi and Mumbai, and app-based services like Uber and Ola. Between cities, India has an extensive railway network that’s affordable but often crowded and prone to delays; domestic flights are common and relatively inexpensive for longer distances. Roads connect most places, but traffic and conditions can be unpredictable.
