American Express is officially opening a brand-new Centurion Lounge at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) on September 17, 2026, located airside in the non-Schengen departure area.
This marks the first proprietary lounge in Continental Europe to carry the official “The Centurion Lounge” branding. American Express already operates an affiliated branded lounge at Stockholm Arlanda (the American Express Lounge by Pontus Frithiof) as well as a Centurion Lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 3.
The new lounge is situated on Level 2 between Gates E and F in the non-Schengen zone and is open daily from 06:00 to 21:30.
550 m² of Dutch-Inspired Design
Spanning approximately 550 m² (nearly 6,000 sq ft), the lounge’s interior incorporates distinct elements of Dutch heritage. Blue, green, and earthy tones draw inspiration from Amsterdam’s historic waterways and countryside, while geometric lines reflect the architecture of classic canal houses. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, complemented by curated works from contemporary Dutch artists including Mieke Jonker, Reinder Schmidt, Geesien Postema, and Thirza Schaap.
Culinary offerings feature a rotating seasonal buffet highlighting Dutch specialties alongside broader European dishes. A standout amenity is the Blue Roast Coffee Bar, providing dedicated barista-crafted coffees, accompanied by a full-service cocktail bar serving craft mixed drinks, international wines, and regional beers.
- Multiple seating arrangements and quiet relaxation zones
- Dedicated work desks and private phone booths
- Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi
- Abundant AC power outlets and USB charging ports
- Fresh seasonal hot and cold buffet
- Full-service barista coffee bar
