The Route

Your cruise begins in Barcelona, the cultural heart of Catalonia. The city is defined by Gaudí’s unique architecture, with the Sagrada Família being its most famous landmark. You can also explore several city beaches or stroll along the famous tree-lined boulevard, La Rambla. The ship departs the harbor in the evening around 20:00.

After a relaxing day at sea to start your journey, you will reach the first stop, Civitavecchia. This is your opportunity to take a day trip to Rome. Iconic sights await you, including the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon. To guarantee your return to the Eternal City, you can toss a coin or two into the Trevi Fountain.

The journey then continues to Naples. Beneath the cobblestone streets lies another side of the city—a labyrinth of underground tunnels. You can also discover the ancient ruins of Pompeii or take a boat trip to the island of Capri. After another day at sea, the Explora I docks in Valletta, Malta. The Mediterranean island has a rich history, and its capital has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1980. Malta offers visitors an impressive variety, not only historically but also culinarily.

The next stop is La Goulette, the gateway to the Tunisian capital, Tunis. Be sure not to miss the historic Medina (old town), a labyrinth of bustling souks and mosques with characteristic white domes. The picturesque coastal town of Sidi Bou Said, which has long inspired artists and poets, is also well worth a visit. Next, the ship sails to Sicily. In Trapani, known as the city of salt and sails, you can experience La Dolce Vita firsthand. For one of the most stunning panoramic views of Sicily, a trip to the hilltop town of Erice is highly recommended.

Finally, the ship sails to Mahón, Menorca. This island is also designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering a much more tranquil atmosphere compared to its neighbor Mallorca. Here, you can discover Spain’s oldest opera house or relax on one of the gorgeous sandy beaches. You can top off your day by enjoying fresh tapas at one of the harborside taverns. After 10 nights filled with memorable experiences, your cruise concludes back in Barcelona.

Culinary experiences play a central role on this luxury ship. Guests are offered an extensive variety of dining options, including a steakhouse and an Asian fusion restaurant. Another venue focuses specifically on Mediterranean delicacies. For a highly exclusive experience, passengers can also choose to have their dinner served directly in their private suite.
