Promotional seat allocations are limited and sell out quickly on high-demand peak days. While Eurostar’s schedule is bookable well into 2027, the discounted sale fares are restricted to travel between September 23 and December 16, 2026.
You can search and book tickets directly on Eurostar.com. Simply enter your desired city pair, and the fare calendar will immediately indicate dates with available sale pricing.
What to Expect in Eurostar Standard Class
On continental routes linking France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany (the former Thalys service, now integrated under the Eurostar brand), journey times between Cologne/Düsseldorf and Paris Gare du Nord range from 3 to 4 hours, arriving right in the heart of the city.
All Eurostar trains require seat reservations, meaning every ticket comes with an assigned seat and standing room is not permitted. Generous luggage racks are positioned at the entrance of every car, keeping aisles clear. Standard Class seating features comfortable winged headrests, fold-down tables, individual reading lights, and European power outlets.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available across all cars. While speeds are adequate for messaging, emails, and light browsing, video streaming is restricted. Passengers can track the train’s real-time position, speed, and connections via the onboard Eurostar portal.
