Looking to escape to Asia on short notice? Right now, there are some exciting business class tickets from Tunisia to Southeast Asia with Etihad Airways. In theory, prices start at just €697. However, it is well worth paying the surcharge of around €50 for the Business Comfort fare, which includes lounge access and seat selection.
You can find positioning flights to Tunis from around €110 (from Basel) and €165 (from Germany), including 25 kg of checked baggage. Due to the flight schedules, however, at least one overnight stay in Tunis is usually required.
We were able to find cheap tickets on the following routes:
- Hanoi from €749
- Jakarta from €749
- Bali from €749
- Manila from €749 (operated by HiFly)
- Bangkok from €749
- Phuket from €749
- Kuala Lumpur from €749
- possibly more
If you prefer to travel to Japan, you can fly with Egyptair from €669 (one-way).
Even though the travel advisory for the UAE has been lifted, the situation in the Middle East remains volatile. Should the conflict escalate again, diversions and flight cancellations are to be expected. Additionally, departing from North Africa means you are not protected by EU passenger rights.
Feel free to use the form below to book with Etihad (or via trip.com). We have highlighted the cheapest dates in green. Many dates require an overnight layover (approx. 14h) in Abu Dhabi. We have deliberately not excluded these, as they significantly improve availability.

On the feeder flights from Tunis to Abu Dhabi, Etihad now uses Airbus A321neo aircraft with lie-flat seats. Depending on your connection, you will have a layover of around 2 to 14 hours in Abu Dhabi before continuing to Asia on a Boeing 777/787.
The route between Abu Dhabi and Manila is operated by a wet-leased Airbus A330 from Hi Fly. These do not offer the standard Etihad cabin product.

How long these prices will last cannot be determined from the fare rules. The fare is available for travel between June 15 and July 15, 2026.
You can find available dates using our calendar above or on Google Flights. We recommend booking directly with Etihad. Alternatively, you can save about €30 by booking via Trip.com.
Miles & Points
Tickets are issued in booking class P. With Etihad Guest, you can expect around 10,000 miles for the one-way trip.
Crediting to other frequent flyer programs should also be possible, though with several question marks. Most programs still list booking class P as First Class The Residence with a 400% mileage credit. It is highly possible you will only receive 100% of the miles (approx. 12,100) or, in the worst-case scenario, no miles at all.
If the credit is indeed processed based on class P, you would receive the following for the Bali example:
- 29,696 Award Miles on American AAdvantage
- 29,696 Award Miles on Royal Air Maroc Safar Flyer
- 29,696 Award Miles on SriLankan FlySmiLes
