With the Disney Dream from Disney Cruise Line, you can embark on a magical transatlantic crossing in May 2026. The journey takes you from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona and includes stops in Ponta Delgada, Cádiz, Málaga, and Cartagena.
You can currently book a 14-night cruise in an inside cabin from just €1,582 per person. However, the outside cabins from €1,724 and balcony cabins from €1,926 are significantly more appealing (prices per person based on double occupancy).
Do you have questions about the offer, need help, or are you looking for a cruise that suits you even better? Feel free to contact us via our inquiry form. We’re glad to help.

The cruise price includes full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) in the main and buffet restaurants, as well as soft drinks, coffee, and tea. Moreover, you can take advantage of the 24-hour room service at no extra cost. Use of most onboard facilities and activities (e.g., pools, Broadway-style shows in the theatre, gym, etc.) are also included in the package.
Disney Cruise Line adds an automatic crew gratuity of US$16 (~€14) per person, per day to your onboard account. This fee can be adjusted at the reception if you are not satisfied with the service.
Editor’s Note: Disney cruises are legendary for their entertainment and service levels. Transatlantic crossings like this one are the most affordable way to experience the Disney Dream, as the price per night is significantly lower than their European itineraries.
Route
Your journey begins in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. If you arrive a bit early, you can walk along Las Olas Boulevard or take an airboat ride through the Everglades at Sawgrass Recreation Park. In the late afternoon, the ship sets sail and heads out into the Atlantic.
After six calm days at sea, you’ll reach Ponta Delgada on the island of São Miguel in the Azores. It’s a beautiful volcanic place known for its lakes, cliffs, and whale watching. From there, the ship continues to mainland Europe, stopping in Cádiz, Málaga, and Cartagena—each with its own history and charm. The cruise ends in Barcelona, where you can explore Gaudí’s buildings or wander through the Gothic Quarter before heading home.

Most Europeans need an electronic system for travel authorization (ESTA) to enter the USA for up to 90 days. This costs US$40 (~€34) and you should apply for it a couple of days before your trip, at the latest.
There are some cases where you cannot apply for an ESTA, e.g. if you’ve been to Cuba since 2021 or to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, or North Korea since March 2011. In those cases, you’ll need to get a visa from a US embassy or consulate, which can take multiple weeks.
The Ship
The Disney Dream was built in 2010 by Meyer Werft in Papenburg and is 340 meters long and 37 meters wide. The ship has a capacity for up to 4,000 passengers and around 1,450 crew members. Standout features include the AquaDuck—a 245-meter-long water coaster—and inside cabins equipped with “virtual portholes” providing real-time views of the ocean.
The design onboard reflects the Golden Age of Cruising from the 1930s, blending Art Deco style with playful Disney elements. The lobby spans three decks and serves as a central meeting point. Entertainment is top-tier, featuring Broadway-style shows in the theater and various themed nightclubs and lounges with live music.
Disney is famous for its rotational dining, where guests visit different themed restaurants each night while accompanied by the same waitstaff. The ship offers multiple main dining rooms, buffets, and specialty adult-only fine dining (available for an additional fee).
The main onboard language is English, and the onboard currency is the US Dollar ($).

Getting There & Back
The cruise starts in Fort Lauderdale and ends in Barcelona. Since the cruise is a one-way repositioning sailing, you will need to book one-way or open-jaw flights. We recommend arriving at least one day before departure.
For example, you can fly from Barcelona to Miami on May 1st starting at €385 with TAP Air Portugal with luggage included, you also have options with Oneworld (Iberia) and Skyteam (Air Europa) for €50 extra.
