The Route
The journey departs from Singapore on December 11, 2027. Your first port of call is Port Klang, the maritime gateway to Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. Depending on traffic, transfers into the city center take about 1 to 1.5 hours, where you can visit the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, Merdeka Square, or the colorful Hindu shrine at the Batu Caves.
Next up is Penang, where George Town enchants visitors with its colonial architecture, ancient clan jetties, Buddhist temples, and vibrant street food culture. The ship then visits the duty-free archipelago of Langkawi, famous for its tropical rainforests and the dramatic Langkawi Sky Bridge suspended over Mount Mat Cincang.
On December 15, you make landfall in Thailand at Phuket, offering white sandy beaches, scenic viewpoints, and the Sino-Portuguese heritage buildings of Phuket Old Town. Following three days at sea navigating around the Malay Peninsula into the Gulf of Thailand, you visit the palm-fringed island of Koh Samui (home to the giant golden Buddha at Wat Phra Yai).
On December 20, the ship docks at Laem Chabang with a long layover until 23:00, allowing a full day trip into bustling Bangkok to explore the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun. Following two relaxing sea days heading south, the Diamond Princess returns to Singapore on the morning of December 23, 2027—just in time for Christmas.
