Deutsche Bahn is currently offering additional Saver Fare tickets that are exclusively available to members of the BahnBonus program. If you’re not yet registered, you can sign up free of charge (registration in German, so maybe use a browser with translation feature).
The cheapest tickets on IC & ICE trains start at €17.99 per direction as part of the Super Saver Fare BahnBonus promotion. First-class tickets are available from €27.99. Booking is only possible via a dedicated landing page, linked in the button below:
In addition, tickets for short segments of long-distance services within Germany are still available from €6.99 per journey in second class. You do not need to be a BahnBonus member for these. The Super Saver Fare promotion is available to all passenger groups. Further details can be found in the corresponding deal.
We checked a few sample connections and found discounts between 52% and 82%. A small list of examples can be found below.
Conditions
The terms of the promotion are largely identical to previous offers. Most importantly, only journeys from March 9, 2026 onward are discounted:
- Booking period: until March 5, 2026
- Travel period: March 9 to December 12, 2026
- Super Saver Fare tickets from €17.99 on selected long-distance routes (ICE / IC / EC) within Germany
- Saver Fare tickets from €21.99 (refundable as a voucher minus a €10 fee)
- Additional tickets are available in both second class (from €17.99) and first class (from €27.99)
- On selected short long-distance routes, tickets are available from €6.99 per journey (second class only)
- Limited availability; not valid for all connections
- You must present a BahnBonus card on request while on board (digital version is sufficient)
Search & Book
These tickets are not available in the DB Navigator app or via the regular connection search. You must search for tickets via this promotional page.
Once you find an eligible connection, the BahnBonus tickets will be displayed.

Price Check
As a first example, we searched for a journey from Hamburg to Munich on March 10, 2026. Normally, morning connections with so little anticipation are priced at around €100 for long-distance services.

When searching via the offer page for BahnBonus members, the price for all the connection is currently significantly cheaper, and you only pay €18 for your journey:

This extreme case results in savings of 82%! Of course, this is only a sample and depends on many other factors. On high-demand routes, the discount may be significantly smaller or, in some cases, not available at all.
Further Examples
Here are a few additional examples of discounted tickets:
- Hamburg → Stuttgart for €24.99 instead of €55.99 (approx. 55% discount)
- Example: March 23 at 06:23 with ICE 1071 / ICE 1093
- Berlin → Cologne for €24.99 instead of €59.99 (approx. 58% discount)
- Example: March 25 at 07:46 with ICE 944
- Bremen → Karlsruhe for €17.99 instead of €53.99 (approx. 64% discount)
- Example: March 18 at 06:09 with IC 2033 / ICE 71
- Frankfurt (Main) → Berlin for €17.99 instead of €37.99 (approx. 52% discount)
- Example: March 26 at 06:15 with ICE 696
It should be noted that, in some cases, prices via the landing page are identical to those found through the regular search. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a clear pattern behind this.
