Every day of the week, the routine of Travel-Dealz editors begins with combing through countless offers and suggesting them to our colleagues. After evaluating them, only the best deals make it on our homepage and into our newsletter. In this post, we want to shine a light on offers that were discussed, but ultimately disregarded. But just because we didn’t feel they would be interesting for a broader audience, it doesn’t mean that some people won’t cherish them.
In this section, you can’t expect our usual service – we will give one example for each deal. We can only give hints about details like availability, travel period, other origins/destinations or fare rules.

Lufthansa & ANA Premium Economy from Spain to Japan for ~€1,100
Star Alliance partners Lufthansa and ANA are selling premium economy tickets to Japan for around €1,100. You can either fly to Tokyo or Osaka. The availability is mostly limited to the winter months.

Reason it wasn’t on the site: While the price is definitely not unattractive for premium economy to Japan, this deal is limited to winter months, which are generally not really regarded as the most popular travel time for the country, though we personally can recommend it. Overall, LOT’s offer that we published last week is not only slightly cheaper, but available in spring and autumn, which most people would prefer. But if you don’t mind travelling during the cold winter months, this is really not a bad deal.
Etihad Flights to Malaysia, Singapore & Thailand for €497
Arab airline Etihad is once again selling its tickets from Europe to South East Asia at very attractive prices, starting at €497. You can depart from Dublin or Barcelona. Possible destinations include Kuala Lumpur, SIngapore, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. There’s availability until June, in November, and from January 2027 onwards. The tickets include 25 kg of luggage.

Reason it wasn’t on the site: Under normal circumstances, we would have posted this without a doubt. Etihad is very popular amongst our readers, and round-trips to South East Asia, including luggage, for under €500 are always a good deal. But we’re not blind towards the situation in the Middle East. There’s a lot of uncertainty there, and personally we cannot fully recommend giving your money to Etihad. The chances of the flight not taking place and ruining your holidays are just a bit too high for our liking.
Carnival: 14-Night Cruise from Singapore to Brisbane for €489 pp
On November 30, the Carnival Luminosa will depart from Singapore and head to Brisbane, stopping in Indonesia, Cairns, and Airlie Beach on the way. The 14-night cruise currently only costs €489 per person in an inside cabin. Even a balcony cabin only costs €813 per person.

Reason it wasn’t on the site: The deal itself is great. The price is quite unbeatable. It’s the logistics getting to Singapore and back from Brisbane that ruin this deal a bit. The flights can easily add over €1,200 to the total price. That still remains an interesting price for such a unique trip, but it’s not as attractive as you’d think at first when reading the €489 headline.
