Every day of the week, the routine of Travel-Dealz editors begins with combing through countless offers and suggesting them to our colleagues. After evaluating them, only the best deals make it on our homepage and into our newsletter. In this post, we want to shine a light on offers that were discussed, but ultimately disregarded. But just because we didn’t feel they would be interesting for a broader audience, it doesn’t mean that some people won’t cherish them.
In this section, you can’t expect our usual service – we will give one example for each deal. We can only give hints about details like availability, travel period, other origins/destinations or fare rules.
Table of Contents
€313 Non-stop to Calgary from Rome & Dublin
Canadian airline WestJet currently sells tickets from Europe to its hub in Calgary with amazing discounts, with roundtrips from Rome and Dublin available for less than €350.

Reason it wasn’t on the site: These prices are great – even if you add checked bags to the deal, you are paying less than €500 r/t for a non-stop flight to destination that usually requires changing planes. The main problem here is availability: We have had our eyes on this fare for the entire week, and it changed daily. In the end, we just weren’t sure that prices would be steady for more than a couple of hours and decided to put it in this column.
London to Buenos Aires for €760 with Avianca
Both tickets to Argentina and from London are usually a bit more expensive, making these €760 (~£660) roundtrips between the River Thames and Rio de la Plata an outlier.

Reason it wasn’t on the site: Even if these tickets are quite decent by comparison, they are still not cheap. While €760 is already a lot of money, Avianca’s ridiculously high luggage fees elevate these tickets intro quadruple digit territory and place them firmly within this column.
CamperDays Discount: £80 Off Bookings Worth £800 or More
Every couple of weeks, RV portal CamperDays issues a discount code that lets you save up to 10% on upcoming bookings. The minimum spend is usually very high, with triple digits being a welcome exception.
Reason it wasn’t on the site: In contrast to other CamperDays discounts, this is code is only applicable on their British site, for payments made in pound sterling. This reduces the already small target audience even further and makes a site wide push less appealing.
