Every day of the week, the routine of Travel-Dealz editors begins with combing through countless offers and suggesting them to our colleagues. After evaluating them, only the best deals make it on our homepage and into our newsletter. In this post, we want to shine a light on offers that were discussed, but ultimately disregarded. But just because we didn’t feel they would be interesting for a broader audience, it doesn’t mean that some people won’t cherish them.
In this section, you can’t expect our usual service – we will give one example for each deal. We can only give hints about details like availability, travel period, other origins/destinations or fare rules.
Table of Contents
IndiGo Flights to Thailand & India
Indian airline IndiGo currently sells discounted tickets in their “business class”, with flights from Amsterdam to Bangkok and Phuket available for less than €1,300. You can also fly economy to Mumbai for €400 r/t.

Reason it wasn’t on the site: While IndiGo labels this as business class, it’s actually Norse’s premium economy from Amsterdam to Mumbai and another set of recliners in a 2-2 pattern between Mumbai and Thailand. This is more like a premium economy deal, and for that travel classes, the price just doesn’t cut it. IndiGo’s correctly labeled economy tickets to Mumbai for €400 are worth a closer look – though Etihad Airways has the better offer.
Cheap Shenzhen Airlines Flights from London to China
Star Alliance member Shenzhen Airlines currently has a huge sale from London to many airports in China, with prices firmly below €500 (~£434). The tickets come with checked bags, full board service and short layovers.

Reason it wasn’t on the site: Two reasons – the first is that deals from the United Kingdom to China generally don’t perform well, most likely because UK citizens cannot visit China visa-free (yet), in contrast to many other European countries. The second is that China Southern offers even cheaper tickets on many routes available in this deal, but doesn’t grant alliance-related status benefits like Shenzhen Airlines.
€500 Etihad Economy Tickets to Hong Kong & Seoul
With departure from airports like Milan, Rome, Dublin, Prague and others, you can currently score Etihad Airways economy tickets to Hong Kong and Seoul for less than €550. The price includes the airline’s famously good board service, but no checked bags, which come with a modest fee of approx. €36 r/t.

Reason it wasn’t on the site: While the price is good, there aren’t many possible flight dates on which it actually shows up. On most of those, Chinese carriers like Air China offer cheaper tickets to Hong Kong.
€85/£85 Discount on RV Rentals
CamperDays’ Valentine’s Day discount code gives an €85 or £85 discount on RV rentals, with no limit to the travel period. The currency depends on the site you are using.
Reason it wasn’t on the site: The minimum spend is a bit high, limiting the discount to 10% – in both Euro and Pound Sterling.
10% Off Gift Cards for Outdoor Activities
Manawa is a UK based platform that offers outdoor activities (like balloon Rides, skiing, climbing, hiking, water sports & much more) on four continents (mainly Europe) for a fixed price. You currently get a discount of 10% when purchasing a gift card, redeemable on the site.
Reason it wasn’t on the site: While Manawa’s prices have slightly risen since their last coupon code, the promised discount has been cut in half, resulting in fewer quality redemptions.
Up to 20% Discount on General Aviation Flights
Wingly is like a carpooling portal for flights in general aviation planes: Pilots can offer trips or sightseeing flights, and you can tag along – for a share of the price. It’s also possible to book transportation between airports that only serve small planes and offer no commercial service. You can pay for these services either directly or by using a gift card.
Reason it wasn’t on the site: While the discount is decent, Wingly’s offerings are so broad on one hand, yet so specific on the other, it is really hard to market single redemption options to a broader audience. That’s why we decided to park it in this column.
