Costa Toscana ext

Aboard the Costa Toscana, you can embark on a week-long Mediterranean voyage sailing round-trip from Barcelona on two departure dates this November. Rates start at just €499 for an interior stateroom with no single supplement. The balcony cabin starting from €599 per person is also exceptionally attractive—likewise available with no solo surcharge. Two departures are available: November 8–15, 2026, and November 15–22, 2026.

The itinerary sails round-trip from Barcelona, calling at Palma de Mallorca, followed by a sea day before heading to Naples, Civitavecchia (the port for Rome), Genoa, and Marseille.

These rates book into the Light fare as a guarantee cabin, meaning your specific stateroom number is assigned by Costa prior to departure. For an extra €190 per person, you can upgrade to the Light All Inclusive fare, which includes the MyItalian beverage package. Upgrading in advance is significantly cheaper than purchasing drink packages on board.

Included Services

On Costa cruises, the standard cruise fare covers the following inclusions:

  • Full board dining across main dining rooms and buffet restaurants (specialty restaurants carry an additional charge)
  • Water, tea, and brewed coffee at breakfast, as well as dispenser water in buffet areas during opening hours
  • Crew gratuities and hotel service charges
  • Access to most onboard facilities (gym, pools, whirlpools, deck loungers, etc.)

On Costa ships, water, tea, and coffee are complimentary during breakfast in the main dining room and throughout buffet opening hours. During lunch and dinner in the main dining rooms—as well as across all specialty venues—all drinks, including water, must be purchased separately. For this reason, adding a beverage package can offer substantially better value on Costa than on many other cruise lines. Drink packages can be booked in advance via the MyCosta portal up to 48 hours before embarkation.

Costa offers the following optional beverage packages:

The Route

Your journey begins in Barcelona, where the Costa Toscana casts off at 18:00. It is well worth planning extra time before embarkation to wander through the Gothic Quarter, stroll along Las Ramblas, or admire the Sagrada Família.

The next morning, you dock in Palma de Mallorca (8:00 to 17:00). A walk along the marina promenade to La Seu Cathedral and through the historic old town is highly recommended. For panoramic views over the bay, head up to Bellver Castle.

Following a relaxing day at sea, you arrive in Naples. The cruise terminal is situated directly adjacent to the city center, making it easy to explore the historic alleyways and savor an authentic Neapolitan pizza on your own. Alternatively, organized excursions take you to the ruins of Pompeii or the crater of Mount Vesuvius.

The following day brings you to Civitavecchia, the cruise gateway to Rome. Frequent regional trains connect Civitavecchia station to Roma San Pietro (near St. Peter’s Basilica) in about an hour. With port docking hours from 8:30 to 19:00, you will have plenty of time to take in the highlights of the Eternal City.

On Day 6, the ship reaches Genoa. The historic maritime hub boasts one of the largest medieval old towns in Europe and the opulent palaces of the Via Garibaldi. Day trips to the scenic fishing village of Portofino along the Ligurian coast are also popular.

Your final port of call is Marseille. The picturesque Old Port (Vieux-Port) and the historic Le Panier neighborhood are lovely for strolling, while the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde overlooks the city, offering panoramic coastal views. The following morning, your cruise concludes back in Barcelona.

The Ship

The Costa Toscana was completed in 2021 and, along with its sister ship the Costa Smeralda, is the largest ship in the Costa fleet at 337 meters long and 42 meters wide. In total, it can accommodate up to 6,200 passengers and 1,600 crew members. It is one of the most modern and environmentally friendly ships at sea, powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The ship has a total of four pools, one of which is reserved for adults. Additionally, there are 9 whirlpools, two of which are infinity whirlpools at the stern on Deck 8. The onboard aqua park allows for swimming and relaxation even in bad weather. For entertainment, the Colosseo, spanning three decks in the middle of the ship, hosts spectacular shows, while the Poltrona Frau Arena theater offers another venue for parties and events. The wellness area with a sauna and Turkish steam bath is available for an additional fee. For children, the Squok Club offers supervised activities for ages 3 and up.

The ship features 11 restaurants and 19 bars & lounges. Your cruise fare includes meals in your assigned main à la carte restaurant as well as the buffet restaurant, which offer a wide variety of Italian and international dishes.

The official onboard languages are English and Italian, though other European languages representatives are also available. The onboard currency is the Euro, and all payments are made through your cruise card or cash using the kiosks to top-up your account.
