The Route
The cruise departs Hamburg on October 5, 2026. Following a day at sea, the ship arrives in Bergen. The colorful wooden wharf of Bryggen is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a prominent city landmark. Weather permitting, visitors can ride the Fløibanen funicular up Mount Fløyen for panoramic views.
After another sea day, the ship reaches Narvik. Highlights include the Narvik War Museum, documenting World War II events in the region, or taking the cable car up Narvikfjellet for fjord views.
On October 10, the ship calls at Harstad in the Vesterålen islands before continuing to Hammerfest, one of the world’s northernmost towns situated deep above the Arctic Circle. Notable stops include the Salen Hill viewpoint and the Polar Bear Society museum. In October, Arctic sailings also offer early opportunities to spot the Northern Lights.
On October 13, you will reach Leknes in the Lofoten archipelago, offering scenic excursions to locations like Haukland Beach. Next is Bodø, where passengers can take an excursion to Saltstraumen, home to one of the world’s strongest tidal currents and the Norwegian Aviation Museum which is walking distance from the cruise ship.
The ship then calls at Trondheim, one of Norway’s historic capitals, featuring the Gothic Nidaros Cathedral. Following a sea day, the ship docks in Haugesund, a coastal region central to Viking history, where the Haraldshaugen national monument commemorates the unification of Norway.
A final day at sea concludes the voyage before the ship returns to Hamburg on October 19, 2026.

The Ship
The Costa Favolosa (Concordia-class) was built in 2011 and was last renovated in 2018. It is 290 meters long and 32 meters wide. The ship has capacity for up to 3,800 passengers and 1,100 crew members. It features “Cold Ironing,” a shoreside power system that allows the ship to turn off its engines while in port to reduce emissions.
Onboard, you will find 4 swimming pools (including one with a retractable glass roof) and 5 whirlpools. Entertainment options include a theater, casino, cinema, and a 6,000-square-meter wellness area with a sauna and Turkish steam bath.
