The Route
Your luxury cruise begins on Mahé Island, where the ship’s crew awaits your arrival. After setting sail in the evening, the Emerald Kaia heads toward the Sainte Anne Marine National Park area. The first stop is Cousin Island, a granite island that was privately owned until 1968 before being converted into a nature reserve. It is one of the best-protected islands in the archipelago and serves as a nesting habitat for several bird species.
The voyage continues to Praslin Island. As the second-largest island in the Seychelles, Praslin features jungle-backed beaches, clear waters, and fine white sand. Anse Lazio beach is frequently rated among the world’s most picturesque beaches. In the heart of the island lies the UNESCO-listed Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve.
Next on the itinerary is La Digue Island, the smallest of the three inhabited main islands in the Seychelles. Pink-hued sands at Anse Source d’Argent contrast with granite boulders and azure waters. The following day brings Curieuse Island, a rugged island surrounded by wild landscapes and home to hundreds of free-roaming Aldabra giant tortoises.
The next stop is Aride Island, a nature reserve where over thirty rare bird species nest amidst dense vegetation. Landscape features include sandy beaches, coconut palms, and steep cliffs. On day 7, the Emerald Kaia returns to Mahé Island, with final disembarkation taking place the following morning. This leaves time for exploring the capital, Victoria.
