Qatar Airways Business Class Kabine

Oneworld member Qatar Airways rarely offers discounted business class tickets these days. Their current offer for €1,641 business class rides from Rome to China and other Asian destinations like Singapore and Phuket are as close to a bargain as it gets.

Sadly, it is a business lite fare, that does not include lounge access. Adding it would raise the price by roughly €500 – an insane amount with better alternatives. Departures are available year-round, with the cheapest tickets to China only on sale in April, May und June 2026.

You can fly to the following destinations for less than €2,000 from Rome:

Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to Qatar Airways’ website with your selected flight dates.

Flights between Rome and Doha are operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft, with no Qsuites available. You can find the self-proclaimed “world’s best business class” on connections to Singapore and India. Onward connections vary, with the cheapest flights to China operated by Airbus A330 aircraft – the oldest members in Qatar Airways’ fleet. Their business class comes with lie-flat seats in a 2-2-2 pattern.

Qatar Airways has a whole bunch of different business class seats: Diamond (A330), Super Diamond (A350, A380, B777, B787), Qsuites (A350, B777), MiniPods (B777), Cirrus II (B777), and Adient Ascent (B787). While the Diamond and MiniPods seats aren’t exactly world-class, the other seats are undoubtedly among the best business class products. Especially the new Qsuite is almost on a first class level. However, Qatar Airways does have a big downside: Lounge access is no longer included in their cheapest business class fare.

Paying €400 more to add lounge access is way too much. If you are keen on that experience, paid lounge access from providers like Plaza Premium or Priority Pass is a better deal. For example, a Priority Pass Standard Plus including 10 visits is available for €289 and gives you lounge access in Doha, Europe and most Asian airports – plus six additional visits. Since most layovers are rather short, you might even survive 3 hours without free drinks or food.

According to the fare rules, these tickets are on sale until February 18, 2026 for travel until December 10, 2026. You must stay at least six days at your destination to get the lowest fare, while you may not stay longer than three months.

Google Flights previews available flight dates reliably. We recommend purchasing expensive premium tickets directly from the airline.

Information & Tips for China

China offers a wide range of sights, from historical landmarks like the Great Wall, the Terracotta Army, and the Forbidden City to modern cities like Shanghai and scenic areas such as Zhangjiajie and Guilin. The currency is the Chinese yuan (CNY), and mobile payments via apps like Alipay and WeChat Pay are widely used, though cash is still accepted. Prices vary—major cities can be moderate to expensive, while rural areas are generally more affordable. Weather conditions differ greatly by region, with cold winters in the north, hot, humid summers in the south, and a generally best travel period in spring or autumn.

China has a highly developed transport system, especially in urban and coastal areas. Most major cities have extensive metro networks that are cheap, efficient, and easy to navigate with English signage. For travel between cities, the high-speed rail network is one of the most advanced in the world, connecting even distant regions quickly and reliably. In rural or less-developed areas, transport options can be more limited and slower, but basic bus or train connections are usually available.

Information & Tips for India

India is a large and diverse country with major tourist sights like the Taj Mahal in Agra, the forts and palaces of Rajasthan, the backwaters of Kerala, and spiritual cities like Varanasi and Rishikesh. The currency used is the Indian Rupee (INR). Prices vary widely—budget travel is possible, but mid-range and luxury options are also common, especially in tourist-heavy areas. Weather depends heavily on region and season: winters (Nov–Feb) are generally pleasant, while summers (Mar–June) can be extremely hot, and the monsoon (June–Sept) brings heavy rainfall in many parts.

India’s transport infrastructure is a mix of modern and outdated systems. Within cities, getting around can be chaotic but manageable—options include auto-rickshaws, taxis, metro systems in larger cities like Delhi and Mumbai, and app-based services like Uber and Ola. Between cities, India has an extensive railway network that’s affordable but often crowded and prone to delays; domestic flights are common and relatively inexpensive for longer distances. Roads connect most places, but traffic and conditions can be unpredictable.
