It has long been an open secret that there are numerous ways to acquire Miles&More miles indirectly, such as through magazine subscriptions. Since 2023, you can also purchase miles directly via Bundle&Go. Miles&More simply packages the offer with a few more or less worthless “benefits” to avoid making it too obvious (otherwise, it could risk being classified as a digital currency).

In October, there is once again a comparatively attractive promotion. Following the new customer offer in September, everyone now receives the 50% bonus. This allows you to purchase miles starting at 1.18 euro cents each. On top of that, you receive up to 3 lounge vouchers and 150 Status Points, depending on the bundle you choose.

The Large and X-Large bundles are the primary ones worth considering. With the 50% bonus, you will pay:

• Bundle Small: 7,500 miles for €125 (1.667 cpm)
• Bundle Medium: 75,000 miles + 1x Lounge voucher for €1,050 (1.400 cpm)
• Bundle Large: 150,000 miles + 2x Lounge vouchers + 100 Status Points for €1,850 (1.233 cpm)
• Bundle X-Large: 225,000 miles + 3x Lounge vouchers + 150 Status Points for €2,650 (1.178 cpm)

Terms & Conditions

• A maximum of 300,000 miles can be purchased per calendar year (= up to 450,000 miles with the bonus included)
• You will likely earn Points only, not Qualifying Points toward status
• Lounge vouchers are valid for 12 months in Lufthansa Business Lounges worldwide (not SWISS, Austrian, etc.). Delivery occurs by the 7th of the following month
• Miles are credited within 5 business days per Miles&More terms (usually within a few minutes, though you should not rely on instant crediting)

Sweet Spots for Miles&More Miles

Due to multiple increases in dynamic mileage pricing and carrier surcharges, flights to North America are rarely attractive anymore when surcharges exceed €1,000 for a business class round trip.

Below is a quick selection of one-way redemptions that can still be worthwhile as of October 2026. Effective prices in parentheses are calculated assuming a purchase price of 1.178 cents per mile:

As you can see, solid redemption opportunities are still out there. However, this relies on finding available business class award space, which has become increasingly challenging. Furthermore, rates can change at any time (and have already increased slightly over the past few months).

Evaluation: Is it Worth It?

Given the various components included in this promotion, drawing a definitive conclusion is tricky. However, it is clear that purchasing only makes sense if you qualify for the 50% bonus.

For the miles alone? Looking strictly at the mileage rate, the best-case price is 1.18 cents per mile (with the 50% bonus). That is average. Magazine subscriptions occasionally yield miles around 1 cent each, but with processing delays and smaller totals at once. Because of that convenience, buying through Bundle&Go remains quite attractive.

For the Status Points? Their true value depends on your travel patterns. 150 Status Points represent 7.5% of the qualification requirement for Senator status (assuming you earn the necessary Qualifying Points through flights). While 150 points could theoretically be earned via status runs for around €70, realistic costs within Europe are typically €200 to €300.

For the Lounge vouchers? Each lounge pass is nominally worth around €20 to €30. For Senator or HON Circle members, these vouchers are essentially redundant since lounge access is already included. Ironically, those status holders benefit the most from buying miles thanks to the Companion Award.

Bottom line: This offer makes the most sense if you specifically need the Status Points to hit or retain status. In that scenario, paying a slight premium for the miles is reasonable. If you are spending upwards of €2,500 on miles, make sure you know exactly how you plan to redeem them.
