For solo travelers, this cruise is currently bookable in an oceanview cabin at €1,249. These fares include full board in the main dining room and buffet restaurant, as well as coffee, water, and tea during main meal times.

The Route

The voyage departs from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 23, 2027. The following morning, the ship arrives in Nassau, Bahamas. Popular highlights include the historic city center, the Straw Market, and excursions to Paradise Island.

Eight sea days follow during the Atlantic crossing. On May 3, the ship docks in Tangier, Morocco. Situated at the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar, this port city blends European and North African influences. Sights include the Medina, Kasbah, and local markets in the old quarter.

Next, the ship sails to Cádiz, Spain, featuring historic old town streets, the Cathedral, and waterfront promenades, with excursions frequently offered to nearby Seville. On May 5, the ship calls at Málaga, where visitors can explore the Alcazaba fortress, Roman Theatre, and Picasso Museum.

The next port of call is Cartagena, Spain, known for its Roman Theatre and coastal fortifications overlooking the harbor. A final stop in Valencia follows before the voyage concludes in Barcelona on May 8.

The Ship

The Brilliance of the Seas was built in 2002 and renovated in 2018. Measuring 293 meters long and 32 meters wide, she reaches a top speed of 25 knots and accommodates around 2,100 passengers and 850 crew members.

The vessel belongs to Royal Caribbean International’s Radiance class. Characteristic features include wide glass expanses, panoramic elevators, and open ocean views across many decks.

On board, passengers enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere compared to Royal Caribbean’s mega-ships. The Brilliance of the Seas offers numerous restaurants, bars, and lounges, along with a varied entertainment schedule including theater shows, live music, and evening performances. Notable venues include the rotating Schooner Bar, retro-style R Bar, and an English pub.
