All itineraries require you to change planes in Madrid, with the shorter flight seating you in economy class. Iberia runs up to three daily flights between Madrid and Bogotá, all of them operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft. These planes feature 2-4-2 seating in premium economy, compared to the 3-3-3 in economy. Of course, the seat pitch is also bigger. The seat alignment also reduces the number of middle seats:

Most European passport holders can stay in Colombia visa-free for up to 90 days.
Search & Book
According to the fare rules, these tickets are on sale without an expiration date for trips of at least seven days. Departures are available until January 2027, with blackout dates during school holidays.
Google Flights helps you find additional flight dates. Since the cheapest tickets are available on Iberia’s website, it makes most sense to book there. Because our redirect currently doesn’t work reliably, you can go there via Skyscanner.
Editor’s Note: If you need to travel with a lot of checked baggage or want to travel more comfortably, this is an excellent fare. If there are no dates available from your airport for the days you need, you can always book from Madrid for €1,000 and pay for economy flights to Madrid on your own.

Information & Tips for Bogota
Bogotá, Colombia’s high-altitude capital, offers a mix of colonial history and urban culture, with key sights including the Gold Museum, Monserrate hill, and the historic La Candelaria district. The local currency is the Colombian peso (COP), and prices are generally affordable for most travellers. Credit cards are widely accepted in urban areas, though cash is useful for smaller purchases. Due to its elevation, the weather is mild year-round, with daytime temperatures around 18–20°C and cooler nights, and rain is common, especially from April to May and October to November.
