Finnair Business Middle A350

Oneworld member Finnair is currently offering business class tickets from Amsterdam to Bangkok starting at €1,585 round trip. This price only applies if you stay overnight in Helsinki on the outbound journey (approx. 15 to 23-hour layover); otherwise, the fare increases to €1,750.

Furthermore, this is a Business Light fare. By default, only hand baggage and a personal item (combined maximum of 12 kg) are included. Checked baggage, lounge access, seat selection, and priority services cost extra.

The Business Classic fare, which includes 2x 32 kg checked bags and lounge access, unfortunately costs an additional €150 per direction. Alternatively, you can add a 23 kg checked bag for €75 per direction. Oneworld Sapphire status members and higher receive 23 kg of free checked baggage, lounge access, and free seat selection, even on Light fares.

Flights from Amsterdam have a key advantage: you can enjoy a lie-flat seat for the entire journey, as Airbus A350s are regularly scheduled on the Amsterdam to Helsinki leg. However, some feeder flights may operate on Airbus A321s, which only offer standard Economy seats with a blocked middle seat.

The A350 features a 1-2-1 configuration with Finnair’s custom-designed AirLounge seats. While these convert into a fully flat bed, the backrest itself is non-adjustable due to the unique seat shell. Though comfortable for sleeping, the lack of a traditional lounge/recline position might not appeal to everyone. The same seats are installed on the A330, and you can read our review here:

As described earlier, the cheapest tickets require an overnight stay in Helsinki. However, this may not be a major drawback, as you can still travel to Amsterdam on the same day (departing around 19:xx). There are numerous hotels near Helsinki Airport starting at around €80 to €100 per night.

Search & Book

We found availability for travel from mid-August to November 2026. Further details regarding the fare rules are not available.

Under the Business Light fare, neither changes nor cancellations are permitted. If you book the Classic fare, changes are allowed by paying the fare difference (with no change fee).

Finding cheap dates can be slightly tricky. Google Flights only displays prices from €1,750 in its calendar, even if cheaper fares are actually available. Therefore, it is best to check directly on the Finnair website and book there. They offer a useful low-fare calendar, similar to what you might expect from Google:

The only downside to this method is that you cannot see immediately whether or when an overnight stay in Helsinki is required. In some cases, a second overnight stay in Helsinki might also occur on the return journey, which only becomes apparent once you select your return flights.
