Aer Lingus Business Class A330

There is currently an insanely attractive Business Class fare from Aer Lingus to North America. Departing from Dublin and returning to Spain, transatlantic Business Class tickets are available from just €807. While you have to start your journey in Ireland, you can return to any European country of your choice. There is also a wide variety of possible American airports you can reach with this deal.

Here are some example combinations

Double open jaws are possible and heavily discounted, too. For example, Dublin – Las Vegas | New York – Hamburg starts at €944.

These flights are available from January through May 2027. Feel free to use our Go2 tool to search them on Skyscanner.

The long-haul segments are operated by Aer Lingus in most cases. The airline primarily uses the Airbus A330 on its U.S. routes, although some flights are operated by the Airbus A321LR. Flights from Dublin (and Shannon) to the United States offer the advantage of U.S. Border Preclearance, meaning you complete U.S. immigration procedures in Ireland before departure. This allows you to avoid immigration queues upon arrival in the U.S.

Some segments, such as European feeder flights or U.S. domestic flights, are in economy class. When booking, be sure to check the cabin class carefully, especially if multiple itinerary options are available. Alternatively, you can travel via London and fly the transatlantic sector with British Airways. Return flights from North America to Madrid are often operated by Iberia.

Visa Info

Most Europeans need an electronic system for travel authorization (ESTA) to enter the USA for up to 90 days. This costs US$40 (~€34) and you should apply for it a couple of days before your trip, at the latest.

There are some cases where you cannot apply for an ESTA, e.g. if you’ve been to Cuba since 2021 or to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, or North Korea since March 2011. In those cases, you’ll need to get a visa from a US embassy or consulate, which can take multiple weeks.

Search & Book

It is unclear how long these fares will remain available, so it is probably advisable not to wait too long before booking. Tickets must be booked at least 180 days before departure, resulting in a travel period between January and May 2027. A minimum stay of one Saturday night is required.

Unfortunately, the tickets cannot be booked directly with the participating airlines. However, they can be found through numerous online travel agencies via platforms such as Skyscanner. Alternatively, they may also be available through the American Express Travel portal.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.
